  1. He is wrong when he says good looks are more important for men than for women. Good looks seem more important for women, as they are expected to get married ( even nowadays.) Men are expected to be intelligent, charming and good-hearted, not good-looking.

Does he live in a place where they throw homosexuals off high buildings to their deaths? It may not be the place where he lives that is to blame; it is more about the way that he feels about himself.

It is far better to have a crime-free record, a positive attitude in life and not get obsessed with romantic relationships. By feeling good about yourself, you have a far better chance of meeting the right person.

There are plenty of plain people, who, instead of convincing themselves that they are ugly, accept their appearance and get on with life. They do not sit at home, worrying about their appearance; they go out, have interests, etc. I have seen people with horrible disabilities on YouTube. At least, he is not disabled.
