@pizzaiq There is nothing wrong with keeping a few customs of the "old country." There is a problem only when the people arriving are so confused between the clash of the ways of the "old country" and the "new," that they get irritated and take up arms against the "new country. "

@ayhemshaban9745 ONLY RECENTLY were they given permission to drive.

@RaheelPervaiz123 People risk their lives to come here. Look at all those migrants who drown when their dinghies capsize on their way to the UK.

@xxflameaminoxx Only if you take it to extreme.

@Emma-nw2xg The fish starts stinking at the head, as the old saying goes.

@trav1sedits_ Kabul is better, eh?

Paper beats rock Nobody can integrate everywhere one hundred per cent the time. There will always be some things which are irreconcilable. The only thing is to stick k to what you are comfortable with and live and let live.

@tima8746 What do you get out of the food and culture if you cannot live like a free person?
1
@RaheelPervaiz123 In what way are you a neglected minority? Are you forbidden to go out without a chaperone? Are you forbidden to get a job? Are you forbidden to use public transport on your own? There are still places in which women are denied these basic human rights and would do anything to live in a democratic country like this one.

Paper beats rock I agree that it is unnatural and destructive to force the world together. There are several examples of this:- Take a class of thirty pupils. NO-ONE is friendly with ALL the pupils in his or her class. Take all the residents of a block of flats. NO-ONE is friendly with ALL the residents in that block. Do you talk to ALL the people who live in your street? I bet that you do not.

@asterism_698 Most kids do not choose religious radicalisation as a way of expressing their cultural affiliation, Asterism, I am sorry.

@ayhemshaban9745 In Saudi Arabia, women were only recently permitted to drive.

@aisha6410 The oppression of women starts in a backward, insecure culture. It shows that men cannot trust themselves to use reason. A country is as good as the people who run it. Look at the world: there are rich countries and there are poor countries. Don't tell me that some countries are rich because they never had wars and others are poor because they are always at war. Almost every country has been destroyed by another at one time or another. Even the UK was smashed to pieces during World War Two. Yes, there was a time in the UK when women were discouraged from equal job opportunities and laughed at when they wanted to set up their own businesses, for example, but, with time, people realised that equality enhances society, not threatens it nd moved on. Countries which oppress women are usually run by men stuck in a time warp, afraid that their insular world will get corrupted by anyone who wants a better freer life. The world is the same everywhere. A country is a country. It is only as good as the people who run it.

@aisha6410 If a man rapes a woman because of her Western clothing, he needs help. Urgently!
1
@aisha6410 It is not the clothing that causes discomfort here, but rather the association with it. Hijab, niqab, abayah, etc., are all Muslim clothing. Muslim clothing imply Muslim religion and Muslim religion is unfortunately, sometimes, but not always, associated with fundamentalism. It is a bit like black shirts associated with Nazi attire. It is not the item itself that causes offence; it is the people who wear or wore it.
1
@aisha6410 I do not wear a crop top either, but I have no problem with the idea of women running, cycling or socialising with men.

@VonApennn You cannot say that about all of them. You would not have any doctors, professors and surgeons if not for Grade A students.
1
@ayhemshaban9745 What have I told you that you already know?
1
@kristingallo2158 Just like America's Deep South did with its black population in the 1950's.

@sunsetenjoyer77 Without any Grade A students, we would not have any doctors, scientists or professors.
