  1. The "deep state" in the USA is the money elite. They finance lobbyists, interest groups, think tanks, and so on, to "buy" politicians to do the opposite or simply block/delay what a majority of Americans want.... Democracy and freedom my ass....

  2. The problem in the USA is the two party state. Both of the major parties are simply two sides of the same coin. There is little difference in motivation between Corporate Dems and the GOP. Both decide based on who pays them how much. There might be a little bit more " in it" for the poor voting for Democrats, but not much.
