  1. LOL, I don't even make $ 3,800 a month. More like 2,000 Euros. Still, I have affordable health care, the beach is 100 meters away, own house with pool (communal). We have 300 days of sunshine, we both work part-time, have loads of holidays, a score of beautiful hikes on our doorstep, good food, good life, all affordable. Why would anybody consider a big city "great"?

  2. Happiness is personal. To be content means to have few worries. The average Europeans have fewer worries than Americans. Note, not talking about the well-off, or the top 10%, but rather all citizens.
