I'm Ukrainian refugee in Ireland, I happy to be here, But I'm a little disappointed in the Irish people, many of them very egotistical, they don't want to help me with housing and work, i have some social programme for housing and 3 month no one take me in housing through this program, they even think that people who have social programme are bad and Irish people. They do not accept people under the program on the principle that it is a waste of public money, and everyone must pay for housing on their own with their own earned money. But I don’t have a job, I don’t have the education or work experience that is needed here, and I also don’t know English. That's why they don't hire me anywhere. I arrived with zero English, now I have A2-B1, but even for the cleaner they often write you need fluent English, in general it’s very difficult for me to live here. Although the state is trying to help, I see a lot of selfish people who will not help, instead they write to me: go work, or go fight in Ukraine. I am disappointed in people, perhaps because I am not sociable; I have not met many kind people who are ready to help selflessly, but so far my impression of the Irish is this. I have no choice yet, and I will have to survive here, but if my opinion about the people here does not change, I will definitely leave here for another country where people are kinder.
