Nephilim Born You and me both. I'd like people to say what they really mean about this sort of thing. All sides(there are more than just two) resort to using memes and act like it's a brave stand. The reason these discussions are so unproductive is people circle jerk each other over sentences like "Islamic terrorism is islamic" and "Not all muslims." As if either of those is actually saying anything important.

If you're getting off on people saying extremely simple sentences about terrorism and islam maybe you should find someone who shares your fetish rather than try to turn it into politics.

Miki Seius /sarcasm. You will get serious comments to that effect though, ironically from "logical" atheists.

Brendan Beckett What does that even mean? What is the relationship? Nothing, something, and everything are very broad categories you know. I get infuriated over what people actually believe and not whether or not they show loyalty to a handful of words.

Brendan Beckett Of some description yes. Of others, no. Which one? Well that's the secret now isn't it.

Specificity, intellectualism, and nuance are the stuff of stupid marxist feminist liberal cucks.

Probably because a bunch of right wing people say it is "difficult controversial" as means to attack the left, and people believe these rightists instead of their own lying eyes.

Joe show Actually suicide bombing comes from WWII and was used by the Chinese and Japanese. Nobody thought Chiang Kai-shek was a god.

If everybody who meant that said that then I think these discussions would be a lot less heated. Unfortunately all sides resort to reciting memes like sacred chants.

Ok, what suicide bombing occurred in 2061 BCE? And for that matter how did they pull off a suicide bombing 3200 years before the invention of explosives?

Joe show That makes no sense.

+Mike White You nailed it. These people have a huge double standard in how they view these issues. But for some reason they are wedded to a few words that don't actually mean anything.

itsasin1969 I say what mean and I mean what I say, and I try to be specific enough to communicate what I actually mean. If you want to see dishonesty, look at this sentence. "But this conversation is about the problems of islam today." Which are what exactly? Who do these apply to? Are these just problems of today or have they always been there? These are the central question that everyone is really disagreeing on, but everyone is hiding behind abstract code words. How is this a productive conversation if no one says what they mean?
