How does horseshoe theory square with the fact the political center changes? Does the horseshoe's center stay the and we simply moved toward it? Or does the center move and the extremes of a hundred years ago are today's center, and if that is the case how can horseshoe theory explain everything?

  28. ***** As Subconscious Qualms pointed out Chomsky differentiates between stated intent and actual intent. It is an accurate reading because it is what Chomsky actually said. When Harris asked Chomsky if he agreed that intentions matter Chomsky agreed immediately.Then what happened it Chomsky went into what the intentions are and why, which is pretty basic stuff, and Harris drowned in the kiddie pool.

Ironically most "classical liberal" want quite a few if not most 20th and 21st century perks while rejecting the social conscience that created them. Classical liberalism is to reactionary what passive aggressive is to regular aggressive. Actual classical liberalism has been dead since the end of the 19th century, unfortunately people have found it's corpse useful, so it won't go away just yet.

  37. Gerard Talbot Feminism actually has ideas and values, it is not solely dedicated to being against something. You can agree or disagree, but at least it's an ethos. Also I don't apply nihilistic reactionary to everything I don't like, I apply it to things that are nihilistic and reactionary. There are plenty of things like conservativism and islam that I don't like however since they are not nihilists I don't apply the label. Nihilism and reaction are things i do not like however, but they not pejorative terms.
