+Sand Wich Actually nationally he is the highest he's ever been, you are right that most Biden supporters went to Hillary, hence the jump. There is no need to be defeatist about this.

Another thing I just realized looking at real clear politics, is that most polls before the debate include Joe Biden. It was pretty obvious, even back then, that Biden was pulling supporters away from Hillary. Since Biden announced he wasn't running, most of his supporters went to Hillary. There is also the factor that the media was giving Hillary a lot of bad press with the so-called email scandal, her debate performance, and the Benghazi hearing ended that also leading her to rise in the polls. There is actually a good explanation for this rather than poll trutherism. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/2016_democratic_presidential_nomination-3824.html http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/nh/new_hampshire_democratic_presidential_primary-3351.html

The broader issue here is are these polls actually helpful in predicting a likely outcome of the election, that is more important to understanding the results than whether or not they include all the people who could potentially vote. People use these certain polling methodologies for a reason, and that reason is not to bias the results, but remove factors that could confound the results. A university would be especially unlikely to bias their results deliberately.
