  7. Darius The Great Not really, civil disobedience is the usually the first step, from unions to civil rights to gay rights every major change started as a small loud group of people being impolite, and maybe even rough. Shocking as it may seem please don't drop your monocle in your drink.

  9. Darius The Great Of course civil disobedience isn't part of democratic government. If democratic government worked perfectly people would not need to take part in civil disobedience. I also have no problem with a person engaged in civil disobedience being punished according to the law, since breaking the law goes hand in hand with civil disobedience. Gandhi's salt march wouldn't have been as profound if he upheld the British monopoly on salt.
