They think Trump is a flash in the pan far right winger, like Michelle Bachman or Herman Cain, but in actuality his poll numbers being consistent make him more like Mitt Romney.

  11. valhala56 For starters, even though it's not ahistorical, you didn't answer my question of denies that ISIS is at war with the west. I'm pretty sure a supposed Ph.D should be able to answer it. The closest thing to an answer you provided was to say that Koran says to kill infidels, and that ISIS was bad. If you had any knowledge of history you would know that muslims by and large have not engaged in conversion by the sword. So not only was your response a non sequitur, it was also ahistorical.

  13. skedaddleMLS Actually for most of the last 3 decades the left has been third way appeasement types for the right, and the right has gotten crazier as a result. This is because of the overton window, not calling out bigoted rhetoric pushes the conversation to the right and validates fringe figures. Filling that space only concedes ground. Should we also speak realistically about Mexican rapists as Sam would put it?

But the notion that blowing up hundreds of thousands of people along with torturing innocent might anger muslims is supposedly muslim apologetics. Saying there exist muslims who were radicalized by U.S. atrocities and wars is not the same as saying all terrorists are radicalized by U.S. atrocities and wars.  Anyway I'm an atheist, so much of an atheist in fact that I left the cult of Sam Harris.

You can't answer my question of who denies ISIS is at war with America because that state does not exist. You have a state for attacking liberals, and you have a state for attacking muslims but you don't have one that can answer that question. Nothing I say can get you to examine this or be aware of these states, it can only cause you to transition between states.
