+Zum Zamim That is because intellectually you know he is right, but you are developing conservative instincts. You should be guided by reason rather than "vibes" which give you the desire to growl and bark at your screen.

+TheDudimus This video attracted the Trump trolls, but there are plenty of people in Pakman's regular audience who will bitch and moan whenever racism is brought up.

Diversity Dan Nope, conservative instincts distrust empathy, compassion, concern for facts, rational analysis dispassionate analysis, and consideration of the perspectives of others, in other words humanity. Conservatives instinctively react hostilely to these thing because of Fox News conditioning.

Zum Zamim No one ever said anything about skepticism, skepticism is intellectual, vibes which are intuitive and instinctual are not. Besides, how do you know the guy wasn't actually privilaged? If he grew up rather wealthy and among wealthy people, you really think he would know how the other half lived and wouldn't have advantages they did not?
2
Diversity Dan Once you do understand it you will have conquered your ressentiment, and the right side will hold no power over you. Also, this has nothing to do with skepticism, vibes aren't skepticism and skepticism has debunked vibes.

+Tounushi That's what it does mean, my guess is that there is racial and ethnic distrust and prejudice you really don't want to confront or change, hence why you reject the term racism.
1
Tounushi Well at least you admit it. So if the word racist applies to you by your own admission what is your problem with it? And what does that have to do with blood sacrifice to the spirits?
1
Tounushi You can list off all the problems with minorities that you have, but all you will do is demonstrate that I am correct in my assessment rather as evidence for your case. To answer your question, a Frenchman and a Finn are both the same as they are both human, something missing from your assessments of the world.

+Ira Plebis I'd say you were judging a book by it's cover, but they aren't even talking about the book. The fact you are so intolerant (of opinions you would actually probably agree with) shows just what an idiot you are.
1
Diversity Dan It sounds to me like it is the development of conservative instincts for the very reason you have outlined, the growth of reactionaries on the so-called left. The cause of this is a kind of conditioning, it is no surprise someone susceptible to it might develop the same instinctual distrust of humanity that guides conservatives.
1
Diversity Dan Not at all, even conservatives like Jeb Bush, John McCain, Marco Rubio, Arlen Specter, Kevin McCarthy, and John Boehner, all provoke this reaction from people with conservative instincts despite being conservative themselves. As I said this is the product of far right conditioning. It is not a feature intrinsic to conservatism as an ideology, but a product of propaganda provoking reactionary impulses in the exposed subjects.

Flywheel Shyster Been there, read that.

Zum Zamim Well if that is what motivates you, whatever works.
1
Zum Zamim No.

+SJW101, the political gamer That is this guy's whole shtick, he claims to be a socialist, but want's the most vanilla status quo non-socialist society imaginable. He also ignores that socialists were among the first anti-racists in western society, but he can only bitch about how women and minorities are out to take his stuff.
1
Dm Gray And yet you get offended that someone calls the racist presidential candidate Donald Trump racist. If something so basic and trivial offends you, you can't really be in favor of an egalitarian society. I didn't say you weren't socialist enough, only that you weren't egalitarian enough, probably because you refuse to address inequality that does not affect you personally. And not do you not address it, but actively resent and work against it. When confronted with that fact you resort to non-sequiturs like calling me and SJW101, the political gamer Hillary supporters when we are not. I personally will vote for Jill Stein if Hillary wins, but for starring that fact in the face is like starring into the sun. Because of that I don't expect a cogent response or for you to actually address my points, just more bragging about your bona fides, strawmen and outright lies, and calling others tribalistic while being supremely tribalistic your self.
1
SJW101, the political gamer Definitely. There's also a huge amount of cognitive dissonance where they will attack things they say they believe, and defend things they say they don't believe simply based on the messenger I honestly suspect a good many of them act in the way you describe because they are part of some cult of personality for certain youtubers.

+silvafox07 First, they control most of the wealth and most of the power, and second is that they want to keep most of the wealth and most of the power, even if it is just among the elite.

+poncho441 And anger. But compassion and empathy are weak and emotional while anger, fear, aggression are strong and intelligent.
