  1. Any attempt to gather and look at data requires a hypothesis of some sort, data does not exist by itself it has to be gathered and analyzed which requires the person doing so to have some idea of what they are looking for. That said with David's fake neutrality bias it is a legitimate concern.

  2. magottyk The most obvious hypotheses are the ones people already believe are true. They are the best candidates for study.
