***** By which you mean intelligent people with sensible policies.

***** Except for all the times it has worked.

whyamimrpink78 So let me get this straight, wealth is conjured from will power rather than produced through labor and raw materials? And this is proven because of a lack of communal values in Walmart parking lots? And this is the same Walmart which routinely short changes it's employees and does not pay them for hours worked. That is a very well thought out, very well argued, and very well evidenced point there Pinky.

+enfomy The internet as a technology has some egalitarianism built into it, so you are actually kind of wrong on that. The real problem was financial deregulation and the decline of institutions like unions, there was also a supreme court case that loosened restrictions on money in politics.

***** Being "pragmatic" with Republicans screwed Americans over big time and moved this country to the right. That is what the democrats contributed to making Trump so popular. The republican contributed a lot more in the form of racism and identity politics as well as a constant stream of propaganda for decades.
2
***** No, it's because of people like you that Trump is so popular. His base thinks exactly like you, you are externalizing an internal conflict. I on the other hand want the democratic party to do what the democratic party is supposed to do, work on behalf of everyone in this country.
2
whyamimrpink78 If you say inequality is good then you must admit that policies which you say create inequality are good. Otherwise what you said was self contradictory.
2
***** I know. But this going to be good.
2
***** Leave that to me.

whyamimrpink78 What you are essentially advocating for is the death of freedom, where workers are owned by their employers. And you justify this slavery by the supposed "laziness" of the worker. And you prove this laziness by the slavery you advocate for. This is circular reasoning.

+kathy kelly No we didn't, the reduction in revenue was less the amount cut, but those tax cuts still exploded the deficit and failed to create adequate economic growth. It's equivalent to saying that an investment with a net loss of 80 cents on the dollar is making you money.
2
kathy kelly A man was shot in the chest and fell down an elevator shaft. You are arguing that it was the fall that killed him and bullet actually improved his health.

+52percent You are aware that most of the earths population couldn't afford rent on low end American apartment right?
1
stjohn727 That's because the democrats have been terrible about raising the minimum wage. They have betrayed both the working poor and the non-working/underemployed poor. If you give into the kind of class hatred republicans are selling, you're basically serving up the other guy so you can be eaten last.
1
stjohn727 So then how is it realist to want to cut things like food stamps and other forms of welfare that help the underemployed?
1
whyamimrpink78 So then you admit socialist policies aren't bad. Thank you.
1
whyamimrpink78 How would that work?
1
+whyamimrpink78 The fact is most workers do work at the behest of an employer, meaning working harder won't produce more wealth because the employer wants a set amount of labor, and the worker would not necessarily benefit from their increased creation of wealth. To call that laziness rather myopic. Walmart had $130 billion in profits last year, that means they could have paid all their employees $59,000 more per person annually. Not that they should necessarily do that, but they could at least pay their employees for the full number of hours worked. That though, goes against the libertarian principles of capitalism, Walmart violated their contract with their employees by stealing their labor and not paying them for it. Walmart does not own it's employees, and the employees don't owe Walmart any of their labor. These are exchanged freely by mutual consent, and not honoring that is theft. Employee salaries are not a charity. Supporting slave labor is as libertarian as supporting Trump brownshirts beating people up.
