  2. Ilusionista Cule "Is the confederate flag related to the KKK?" Yes, seeing as it is one of their symbols and has been for 150 years, or 30 times longer than the supposed "thousand year dixie." "And just because they weren't anti-slave doesn't imply that ALL confederates are racist." The Confederacy was founded to create a racist slave owning society, hence what people today believe to be it's flag is a symbol of racism. Those are the political ideals represented by that flag. Finding non racist people among them won't make that racism go away, especially considering violence against abolitionists that predated the civil war.
