  2. ***** Just because they can't take over everything doesn't mean they can't cause trouble at a state or local level. They believe "Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heav'n" and will settle to abuse any power they come across.

  3. ***** There are many threats to our freedom, and the national security state is probably the biggest and definitely the most enduring. That said I doubt they are particular about the civilian "leadership" so long as they don't encounter real opposition from it.
