A fine example of christian love, which most people call spite.

Not really, one person just wanted a cake, the other person wanted a hateful message and refused a cake. The bigoted cake shop refused service based on who the person was, while the tolerant cake shop refused a specific service based on what the person wanted, they would have also refused to provide Mr. Phelps an oil change service.

The League of Shadows Unless his point is that is christianity is a religion of hate, no he doesn't.

Typical loose constructionist judicial activist reinterpreting the constitution.

whyamimrpink78 Actually it's entirely different in several ways. First Mr. Phelps demanded the cake shop endorse a specific set of beliefs, where as the bigoted bakers simply denied public accommodation. Second the cake shop owners offered to bake Mr. Phelps a cake and allow him to apply any nazi messages he wanted to the cake in fact they offered to teach him how to do that, while the bigoted bakers refused to make any cake whatsoever on account of their bigotry.

whyamimrpink78 That arbitrary line as you call it is known as people, you think denying service to certain people is the same as not writing words on a cake. You would think refusing to make a cake in the shape of a crucifix, star of david or four leaf clover ie a service is the same as refusing all service to catholics, jews or irish ie people.

whyamimrpink78 Key words there are "that service" they can also deny to change this guy's oil, or bake a penis shaped cake. They also offered to preform the rest of the service, namely bake the cake, showing they weren't discriminating against the guy because of his religious belief in the Westboro Baptist Church.

whyamimrpink78 The line is not arbitrary at all, the line is that they must treat all their customers equally without regard to race, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. You are the one who wants arbitrary nihilistic standards where the circumstances of a person's birth are as much of a ground to judge their value as their actions are.
