@SockieTheSockPuppet Russian Orthodox and Greek Orthodox are in the same exact church. The Eastern Orthodox church. The main differences are trivial and political in matter, not doctrinal. Ethiopian Orthodox and other Coptics deviated from the early church before the Catholics, so obviously they are different. Now even the most detached parts of the early church are still closer to it than any of the post-reformation churches. The post-reformation churches have almost no resemblance to the church that the apostles founded. They're just a heresy like gnosticists.

Hence why Orthodoxy is the truth. The Orthodox church has remained the same as it was 2000 years ago.

You mentioned the politically correct aspects of Christianity. "self-sacrifice, unconditional love and loyalty to your wife and children" Yes those are the duties of the husband. However, you must also not forget the duties of the wife, being unconditional submission and devotion. Christianity by its nature is a patriarchal religion, the head of the household is the man. Meaning that he has the authority as well as the responsibility of the entire family.

I only disagree with your assessment of Turkey and Russia. Turkey has no prospects of starting wars, their most wealthy and educated populous is secular and dislike the current regime and they're not few. The Erdogan supporters and more radicals in Turkey are concentrated in the center and east of Turkey which is the geographically least important parts of the country. Their birth rates aren't horrible but they're not great either. Their military is also highly overrated. For example they're not far off from Greece in terms of military assets even though they are 9 times Greece's population. Russia has a lot of issues, but in my opinion is the least likely to fall out of the 3 superpowers of China, Us and Russia. The regime is not as unpopular as it is in most Western regimes or Turkey. The establishment is also the exact opposite of the liberal establishment in the Us and is reverting back to Russian roots and tradition prior to communism. I can only see it happening if Putin fails to find a good predecessor to replace him and it will moreso split up into the federations that make up the country.

I see a major issue in this video. We are comparing ourselves to our parents and at best grandparents generations. Yes, we have it worse than them. But we have it infinitely better than our great-grandparents and any generation before. We saw that the generations of the 50s-80s failed, they were spoiled rich generations that defaulted to hedonism and self-centrism. So why are we trying to reach those generations that failed instead of those that didn't? People claim "muh the economy" when they don't have children. Why is is that wealth only drives birth rates down then? Meaning that if they did have more money, they would be LESS likely to have children statistically. We see having children as a burden: " I must give them 2 extracurriculars, a decent university tuition, a car, a bunch of toys and things, 2 vacations per year etc" Instead why don't we focus on what matters: "I must give my kids love, family ,the basics and the freedom to play with the other kids in a field" I personally believe, we have become so hedonistic and have such a victim mentality that we can't see past our own as*.

@terranceramirez4816 False. The ULTRA wealthy have high fertility rates. If we look at the top 10% in totality, they have the lowest birth rates. Yes even lower than the middle class. Once you look at the 1% or 0.5% is when the birth rates skyrocket.

@emanuel585 It doesn't actually. The constitution had a clause that was aimed to prevent the government from meddling with church affairs. Most states had official religions and that went for decades after the constitution was written and adopted.

@laurean5998 The funniest part is that the Us was never supposed to be a democracy. The founding fathers were elitists that preferred a monarchy/aristocracy. But they understood it's flaws hence making a 3 part system with a monarch and checks and balances for him. However even the 1 democratically elected body was supposedly only elected by few land owning men. They never intended for everyone to have the vote, nevermind young broke college students and women. Who would've thought that this egalitarian form of democracy would not work?🤔:face-green-smiling:

And then Catholics cope by saying "he didn't say bless the marriages, just the individual". Well, the church's stance on this is that yes gay people can be blessed IF THEY COME REPENTING. If a gay couple comes hand to hand and get blessed by the priest, that's an admission that the church allows and accepts this heavy sin. It's entirely heretic.

Just for the shake of argument though, how is it that Christian societies were the most literate ones and the most achieved scientists and scholars being Christian for the past 1000+ years?

@cowboybeboop9420 Greeks never committed genocide against Bulgarians. It was mostly expelling and assimilation. Bulgarians were Orthodox Christians so assimilation wouldn't be necessarily violent (like what the Turks did in Anatolia to Greeks) but it would take a few decades which it did.

The leaders of the church were and still are called PATRIARCHS. The Bible's prescriptions for marriage, is the same as of the hierarchy in the church. Denying that Christian marriage is not patriarchal when there are literal evidence of not only the early church and nowadays Orthodox church but also inside the scripture is beyond heretical. Societal standards change. Christian morality and prescriptions don't. Society nowadays also allows casual intercourse, is that allowed by your standards? The church the apostles found is meant to be unchanging and unending. The traditions and ordinances have been preserved and we know what they say. The Bible and its prescriptions have been preserved and we know what they say. So by your comment you're showing the fact that you are NOT a Christian. You claim that Christian doctrine and the church that the apostles founded is not to be followed because Christianity "conformed with old societal standards". And now that the society has fallen into the demonic and the standards of society have changed, we should follow this demonic progressive "Christian" dogma of equality and egalitarianism. You're not a Christian and you will never be unless you follow God's word and repent of your many sins.

The Ottomans are literally a 300 year empire. The Eastern Roman Empire was far more glorious for a far longer period. The reason why the Ottomans managed to built a kinda stable empire is because there was no outside threat besides maybe Russia, which only gained power later on. Once they conquered all of East Rome, they used forced islamization, planned massacres, devshirme and jizya to opress the native populations and convert the native populations in a "Turkish" culture. A culture which was mainly stolen from all the regional cultures like Persians, Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks, Kurds etc. By doing all those things they gradually managed to turkify enough people to hold part of the empire together during their inevitable demise. Hence why the total Greek population now is lower than it was in 1200s (which is insane to even think about). And hence why most of modern Turks have less than 15% Turkic DNA.

@4grammaton Just research about how Erdogan has been constantly suppressing any opposition in major capitals like Constantinople. Turkey was secularized in the 1920s by their best leader. Most people do not ascribe to general islam. The economy is also a pointer. It's in utter shambles. As for military, there are plenty military comparisons between Greece and Turkey, and they're not far apart. For Russia. I only know official polling that is being done on approvability but the fact that Russia has been able to keep up with a big war like in Ukraine and a relatively stable economy, shows that Russians in general have a trust in the leadership. As for traditionalism, Putin's late policies have been moving towards the Orthodox church which is the original patriarchal Christian church and against modern obsurdism and liberalism. That alone makes Russian men less disilusioned with Russian society than American men with American society and Chinese men with Chinese society. Now whatifalthist mentioned the Chechens which are indeed some of the best fighters in Russia alongside Mongolians/Siberians. However since the conquest of Chechenya, Chechens have been repurposed into the Russian military and are now doing the bidding of the Russian government by doing what they love to do aka fighting.
