@hnys7976 Well Gaddafi was also an idiot. He thought that waging war and violently reclaiming oil rigs and ditching the dollar would be a move that the Americans would let unpunished. He had to be killed if you look at it from any Western perspective. On the other hand and full-out invasion of Libya was unnecessary and only benefited the corrupt elites and the gun manufacturing companies. Africa also had nothing to do with Gaddafi since he was interested in Libya and not Africa as a continent. The rest of the underdeveloped African countries would've stayed as they were.
