  1.  @airynod  So here's the thing, if a society doesn't have a moral standard it will fall into chaos (at least on a societal and governmental level). I don't think anyone should be forced through violence to comply with Christianity, however in a Christian society shame and laws based around Christian morals should exist. As for judgement, this part is taken out of context. Jesus himself tells us to judge others : “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” (John 7:24) and so did Mosaic law : “In righteousness, you shall judge your neighbour.” Leviticus 19:16 Judgement is integral to a well functioning society because it can be used to avoid a fall into degeneracy along with putting people in a straight path. As for polygyny and such. In Ancient China men had the ability to have concubines and prostitutes if they could afford them (depending on the time period). They also had the ability to have multiple wives. In fact many kings boasted amounts of 10,000 wives or so. So by modern standards they "allowed" men to cheat. I don't think any Western woman would say that her man having multiple wives and concubines would not count as "cheating". Feminism was good in principle but as we see the results bad in practice. From birth rates plummeting to 3rd world mass immigration destroying the West, all of this was mostly due to feminism. And as much as we try to deny it, the female sexual liberation movement had to be the most destructive political movement in the past few centuries. From the destruction of marriage ,to the poisoning of interpersonal relationships, to the millions of babies being slaughtered in the altar of convenience. It's partially true. Although your circle does affect what women you will meet, the actually good women are extremely scarce. I have a wide circle and even best friends that have circles in very conservative areas, and even there the women refuse to submit to their man and/or are not virgins. I can even ask you how many submissive virgin women under the age of 25 you know, I doubt you can even think of 1. And even if I do find a few (hopefully I will), I am gonna have to put 10x if not more the work my grandfather did to find one with those attributes. Luckily I am not a pessimist, so I will put everything I have into achieving my goal of building a family with a good marriageable woman, but I can 100% understand men that just opt out of society and dating.   2. ​ @jorder  Actually I personally found cloth masks easier to breathe with. It was kind of a cheat code during covid times. Even though in the end they proved ineffective, at least they didn't make me dizzy after a few hours of wearing them.

I am a traditional Christian (Orthodox) and the entire idea of the original Christianity is that yes we are sinners and it's impossible for us to never sin which is why Jesus is key. He sacrificed himself to give us salvation. Once we come to him, we ought to carry our cross and strive towards his image. So it's definitely not the goofy protestant idea of "salvation only through faith" and it's also not the rabbinic idea of "following the rules of the book to the tea and I will go to heaven". Yes I do believe that an atheist can be a moral person, however I do not believe that an atheist can sit besides Christ in heaven. Because the entire point of atheism is rejecting Christ. God gave us free will, if we use said free will and tell him "No I do not accept you or wanna submit to you" then why would he force us to accept him and submit to him. He will respect our wishes. However an atheist can be a moral person because there is a clear moral guideline. If you followed said morality more or less (obviously no one's perfect) then you can be considered a moral person in my Christian purview. But, a mortal human can not be sinless. There is also variance in the weight of each type of sin.

He can literally make himself a far far happier person by doing some minimal hard work to get out of his comfort zone but he just doesn't. The guy could hire a chef, a maid and a personal trainer. He could buy an actually cozy and efficient house to live in but he just continues to live in his mom's old broken down and dirty house. He could insanely improve his life almost over the period of a month or so. But he's too complacent and lazy.

Also he was crippled but not missing a leg nor did he ever need a wheelchair. He had a deformed foot that made him limp. Hephaestus is still jacked and white like all the rest of the Gods in ancient Greek mythology.

  13.  @cinno2112  Greek Gods represent all the earth? Lol? And no, Greeks back then were pretty much white. Some were blond, some were dark haired, some had blue eyes, some had brown eyes. We also know that indeed the Greeks today are direct descendants of ancient Greeks in large. I am from the most southern island in Greece 3/4ths (and all 3/4 of those are descending from the island for centuries back) and 1/4 from the mountains of central Greece. I am blond(very light brown) with brown eyes and very white skin, my sister is even whiter and has blue eyes and same hair color. Some Greeks have olive skin and that's the darkest you can find here in Greece. Olive skin is white by Us standards (the entire white/black/asian is a Us creation, in actuality there are racial phenotypes and many phenotypes are similar whilst others are not). So yes, in Greece we have many variations of what they call in the Us white. There are no "brown" individuals in the sense of Pakistani/Indian although some olive skinned people get very tanned in the summer.

  24. Calling everything trauma is a disservice to actual trauma. No 50% of the Us population isn't "traumatized" ,they're just undisciplined. I watched my obese ,weak friend become a ripped beast. I had issues putting on weight and when I disciplined myself I put on 10+ kgs in 1 year. It all comes down to discipline.

As for conservatism, I wouldn't say that's the driving factor. Other more highly conservative countries have it on 16,15,14 (Japan, Poland, Hungary, South Korea etc). I think it's more of a Us thing. In California for example it's outright 18. Meaning what you said fully applies to California. And from my knowledge California is progressive af.

And if you look at European countries that also allow normal citizens to buy guns, they're the safest ones (Czechia, Switzerland, Norway)

  37.  @utherlightbringer3868  Again that's untrue. The laws allow civilians to buy guns. You can look up the countries that's easiest to legally buy guns. Most are Europeans with the Us first. Switzerland, Norway, Czechia, Italy, Finland are in the top 10. I am Greek and I live in a part of Greece where the vast majority of people own guns (either illegally or through hunting licenses).

Semi-automatic guns are all non-automatic guns on the market. Most pistols and all hunting guns are semi-automatic. The licenses can be obtained by anyone who applies in Switzerland, Czechia or Norway. In the Us you can't go in the store and buy it. There are mandatory background checks and many have very strict laws around them. It's a myth that anyone can go into a shop and buy a gun. AR-15 is mostly used as a hunting gun in the Us. Less than 2% of homicides in the Us are from AR-15s.

  40.  @utherlightbringer3868  Yes that's a background check which is mandatory for every place, in every state and every county/city. Correct. Any law abiding citizen can buy a gun. Same with Switzerland. Sure you'll have to go through a couple more loopholes when applying, but virtually any law abiding citizen can buy a gun and all men that served their time can keep their military gun in their home, so technically half of the Swiss get a free gun. Meaning that a criminal can't just walk up and buy a gun. And more importantly those gang members that you were referring to can't buy guns legally. Another funny point is that most gang violence occurs in cities/counties/states with very strict gun laws and most gangs acquire guns illegally (usually smuggled through the Mexico border).
