@Datanalist When did people cry that Turkey beat them? The only times Turkey beat anyone was when the alliance countries remained neutral or in support of Turkey. If France and the UK hadn't withdrawn the support to Greece in the 1919 war, Turkey would be an insignificant nation.

False false and false and correct. Your first claim is untrue since RPK was never supported by Russia or the West. Your second claim is incorrect since UNCLOS are set to 12nm for islands as well. Only Turkey has refused to accept those laws amongst every country on earth with sea territory that has and abides by them. Your third claim is false because neither of those governments were "rebels". Both had claims to the government and both are equally useless. Although by now most countries only recognize the House of Representatives as the official government of Libya.

@Samilov In 1919 the Western powers withdrew support to Greece which was the sole reason for Greece's loss. If even on of the powers (UK, France, Russia) actively supported Greece in that war till the end of it, All of the coastline in the agean would be Greek, Constantinople would be Greek, half of the Black see coastline would be Greek. Cyprus would be Greek.

Turkey used the illegal killings of a faction to invade Cyprus and occupy it. Did the poor turks of northern cyprus also cry for Turkey to send hundreds of thousands of turks from the mainland? Or was that because of Turkey wanting to enforce their presence in Cyprus through their illegal occupation? As for your last claim. I'd love to see sources of the Us "stealing" money from Turkey and not giving them the equipment purchased.

Turkey committing ethnic cleansing and genocide of their minorities because they wanted to create national unity upon lands that they invaded. That's all there is to it. If you take the stance of "a few rebel groups killed a few turks so we massacred 1.5 million armenians and 600k ethnic greeks" then you should also take the stance of "Israel should kill 2.5 million Palestinians because of Hamas". And by the way this argument is even more sound than the one you made since Hamas is the recognized and voted government for half of Palestinians. Greeks never killed 600k Turks. The vast majority of turks residing in Greek mainland relocated and some turks still reside in Thrace and they live just fine. Did the Greek army commit war crimes during the war? Yes. Most armies do so. But did they commit ethnic cleansing and genocide? Not even close. It's not even comparable tbh. Turkey can't take "back" the balkans because they were never theirs to begin with. And Greeks were displaced from lands that they occupied for 3000 years. Turks love destroying history and displacing people, but most of anatolian coast lines and Constantinople should belong to the Greeks.

@billsmoke4919 Nice examples. But I never saw spain exterminating the Catalans or the Basques. The land that Russia occupies in Ukraine right now is mainly inhabited by Russians. So that goes out of the window. The PKK was created because of what Turkey did to the Kurds. If only Turkey had accepted defeat and gave land back to the main population of each place, their massacres wouldn't define them. Sadly though, Turkey will always be remembered as the genocidal country of the kurds, armenians and greeks.

Sure the extermination of 1.5 million armenians and 600k greeks of multiple minorities isn't "genocide". The reduction of local Greek and Armenian minorities from 80% in Pontic and Armenian lands to 0% and from 40-50% in Constantinople to 0% isn't ethnic cleansing. It's just natural deaths and migration right? But please list me some "European" genocides that the West doesn't recognize or some "ethnic cleansings".

The only solution would be for the illegal migrants from mainland Turkey to go back and the original turks of Cyprus to stay as a minority. That's what the Greeks in Cyprus want and will accept. It's like the China invading South Japan, sending millions of Chinese to the occupied area and then suggesting that Japan reunites with them and accepts them as citizens. That would mean major involvement of the invader in the democratic process of the invaded. It's a common tactic used by Turkey alongside their ethnic cleansings.

@AnqeLo99 That's your mistake experienced doesn't equal trained. The Greek army and French army is well known to be better trained than the Turkish army. The French army far exceeds the Turkish army when it comes to experience as well. So it's not like pitting 1 trained man vs 50 untrained civilians and more like pitting 1 mediocre trained and experienced man against 1 highly trained man.

By that sense would you support Israel killing 2.5 million Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank because Hamas (who is not even a faction but a voted in government, so it is 1000 times worse than what the armenian factions did) killed 1500 Israelis? Turkey did not support the internationally recognized Libyan government. It used to be recognized internationally until it wasn't. Also the violence you are speaking of was between a secessionist faction that killed a few hundred turks in the span of 1 year. That does not warranty a full on invasion of a sovereign state and a prolonged illegal occupation as well as sending hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants to solidify their influence on the island. But what is the reasoning of the turks? @RCSvS There is a difference between supporting and not supporting and rescinding support in the MIDDLE OF THE WAR. USSR supported Russia, the Us was neutral. If France or Britain hadn't rescinded their support, there would be no Turkey as we know it today. It's that simple.

So not really the "threat" you wanted it to be. Also when did we extend our 6 nm to 12 nm? It was always 12 nm. Please try and find me one country that doesn't recognize the 12 nm rule besides Turkey. You can't. Why? Because as we all know Turkey likes to make stuff up.
