@TheVenhammer He didn't admit to what he was being accused of. He didn't admit to trying or planning to meet with the person. He didn't admit that the minor was under the age of consent. Meaning the minor was of legal and moral age to consent. He didn't admit to texting anything sexual.

@ElcoolMo He didn't confirm anything. He said "sometimes leaned inappropriate" about the texts and "minor" about the girl. However, she can be a minor and of legal age to consent and a joke can be inappropriate.

As far as I know there are exactly 0 states and advanced countries with the age of consent allowing prepubescent children to consent. For states it's 16, which is far from being prepubescent. If 99% of the advanced world agrees that people at 16+ can consent legally, then they also agree that they can do so morally.

@kayleb-oo1ro That's the point. The messages weren't even bad enough to warrant a ban since he literally got paid out after fighting them in court.

@goglux2 Did the police and the judge also "spun the case to their advantage"? If he did anything wrong he'd be jailed by now because he was literally fighting a mega corpo in court with those alleged actions which are by any definition a crime as documents.

The definition of s3xting is sending sexually explicit messages. By his admition, he only said inappropriate jokes, his messages weren't sexual in nature. And if they were, I doubt the police or the court would be fine with them.

@TheVenhammer Teachers and employers abide by age of consent restricted by authority. Due to the fact that they can entice or threaten the student. So it's a bad comparison either ways.

@jimmymac2292 If all advanced societies besides a handful of Us states agree that people at 16 and above can legally consent. Then they morally make the exact same argument.

@kayleb-oo1ro Destiny wasn't unbanned either. It doesn't matter whether he was unbanned or not. They retained him banned for various probable reasons, from brand damage that it would show, them banning him for no reason. To being an irreversible decision after it was already in taken in courts.

@Xynth25 They 100% went to court. It was in fact a case that took several years to be carried out. On top of that twitch literally sent the messages to the organisation that deals with csa cases and they never responded to them. Also there is literally 0 way that twitch would pay him 11 million dollars over taking him to court for a case they knew they could win.

@TheVenhammer Because it reinforces the point on two fronts. 1. Is the idea that late teenagers are infants that can't make life decisions. 2. Is that Doc didn't even try anything s3xual with said person anyways. So the entire thing was a farse from the beginning. It was already a nothing burger due to the 1st fact but now it's literally nothing due to the 2nd fact.

Over the age of consent. Meaning the person was of age to consent legally and morally and that's agreed upon by every single advanced nation. Only a few Us states have the aoc at 18 which is ridiculous. The entire EU has it 14-16 depending on the country, all first world east asian nations have it at 16 and most Us states have it at 16. Now inappropriate can mean literally anything. A joke can be inappropriate and touching a minor can be inappropriate. He literally used it to bait the id*ots into lawsuits.

@xXJacobyJaxsXx I am neutral about this guy. His past adultery ticked me off a little but there are far worse things we put up on the daily by famous people. I mostly care about the societal aspect of the whole thing. From infantilization of late teenagers to jumping to conclusions without any evidence.
