Comments by "CaptainVanisher" (@captainvanisher988) on "Small Streamer Harassed By A Huge YouTuber.." video.
@EdgarTheOgre "Did I just watch a video on harassment of streamers and creators is bad and how a small mistake like not blurring a name can result to it?" "Let's go harass the person who made that mistake and corrected it after"
37
Online trolling isn't necessarily morally wrong. He trolled her and then used the clips of him trolling her. Harassment or bullying is what some of his followers did. What he did wrong here is not blurring her name, that's it. And he was held accountable.

@ageychikdaniil6886 spoiler alert, it was all bs
8
@atelierbagur3831 ?? He didn't harass her. Again the only mistake he did on his part was not blurring her name. You clearly need to grow up. I've been harassed before for popular comments I've made on political videos in my twitter and youtube. Guess what I did? Deleted their comments and blocked them on twitter.
7
Oh so you want people to be fined or imprisoned for trolling? I swear, sometimes people in Asmon's comment section are just as restarted as the 10 year olds that harassed this woman.
6
what? making a couple mean comments?
6
@HundredSpoons-gf3fj Someone needs to understand that what you find funny is not what everyone else finds funny. Trolling on the internet is not something that should be "banned" of the internet because "muh feelings". The only thing the dude did wrong was using her clip without asking and then forgetting to blur the name.
5
if that was the case news outlets would be out of a job the next day. It's not defamation as his intention was not to defame this woman. Defamation includes the intent to defame someone.
4
@eddyronbinson2466 No restarted people like you can't tell the difference between trolling and harassing. None of what he did can be considered harassing. The only harassment in this case are what his fans did to her (death threats, multiple accounts to spam, bot attacks etc) and what asmon fans did to him (death threats, doxxing etc).
3
@PortaPunch Shows how authoritarian and despicable people have become. You and many other restarted individuals are why the internet has degraded so much from the old days.
3
she should've. If she can't handle mean comments she should be ready to ban said comments/donos.
3
Trolling someone with a couple of mean donos is considered "harassment and bullying" worthy of a ban according to you people?
2
It doesn't because it's the internet where she is publically streaming.
2
@MrGister9999 The youtuber made a couple of mean donos to her and then said it was a joke. That's not even close to "being bullied". You've probably never been bullied in your life.
2
@MrGister9999 Again. Yes it wasn't that bad. If he were to blur her name then she couldn't farm the content by playing the victim and no one would gaf. So yes it's not that bad. You can't be that soft that a couple of mean comments on the internet constitute as "bad".
2
@StoryEnjoyer220 It hasn't been made private. He just deleted the clip of her ,it's his last vid, just went and checked. Now the thing YOU failed to bring up (yes failed to ignore makes no sense in your sentence) is that he is not responsible for his viewers. Asmongold's viewers went and harassed and doxxed this guy. Is he responsible for what they did? And no. It wasn't 1% of his viewers. That would mean that 10,000 people harassed her which is not t he case. She showed that she banned in total 30-40 accounts many of w hich were burners. So at most 20-25 people harassed her. Which is less than 0.01% of his audience.
2
@StoryEnjoyer220 Of course he went immediately after asmon watched it because he probably got dozens of dms about it. I can believe t hat he disabled it for some time to remove the clip. But as of now it's up.
2
@LOK_Dev I can understand where you're coming from. But in my opinion trolling is part of the internet culture. He was not that mean to her with the couple of donos directed at her. The issue is with the people that go and harass her, not particularly his trolling sequence. And tbf she should have been ready to ban trolls or mean comments she can't handle. Many streamers of her size get plenty of trolls or bad actors in their donos/comments.
2
@bankaihampter2802 100% real. And to be frank, they only take the men seriously if they're LGBT or unironically ropemaxx (commit the s word)
2
@listlesswanders1687 He has no obligation to not use her clip, asmon has used content of many people without "asking for permission". In fact his entire channel is just that. As for his donos, they're literally a couple troll donos. If she can't handle trolls on the internet she should be ready to ban said trolls. I agree with blurring her name out. He acknoledged it and now we can all move on. But just to make this clear, Asmon covered this like normal right? Is he responsible for the many more people that went after this guy and harassed him and doxxed him? Because that's exactly what happened after Asmongold covered this.
2
@listlesswanders1687 My issue is with the blatant hypocrisy. Asmongold fans have such little self-awareness that after watching this entire video went immediately to harass and dox him.
2
@konuka_ame You people are absolutely insane. "Oh people went after a girl and harassed her because a guy didn't blur her name on his video, this is so bad" and went right to "Haha he got doxxed and harassed so funny, you get what you deserve". Disgusting hypocritical behavior. Maybe you should look in the mirror for once.
1
@konuka_ame Why are you lying to my face? I watched his video and most people were fine with the troll and many even laughed with it. He has helped many small creators with this content btw. As for your second lie, he never told anyone to send death threats or publicly humiliate her. In fact he said the exact opposite in the comments of his own video. They did this by their own volition. Same way asmongold fans harassed and doxxed him out of their own volition.
1
@konuka_ame Harassing who exactly. All of the streamers he's trolled have been fine with it (at least the one's in his videos).
1
@Mrfirstmonth It was literally a joke. You or in this case the streamer not laughing at said joke doesn't make it not a joke. He's done it multiple times before (as he states) and the streamers took it well and laughed with it since they also gain money out of it.
1
@PentaHousen Garbage analogy. Did he cause her any physical harm by sending her a couple of mean donos?
1
@Metalfan757 He provokes people and then (usually) both laugh about it and shrug it off. She was butthurt about a couple of troll donos.
1
@Kensuke0987 Please let me be on a stream with guys insulting me and getting money for it. What mental health brother? If you make the bag , you don't really gaf about the mean comments that are giving you said bag. Ishowspeed became a multi millionaire by feeding the trolls that gave him money to troll him. That was and is his entire brand.
1
Intent quite literally means a lot, legally or morally. And stop trying to go to the "English isn't my first language" to absolve yourself of this incredibly bad take. Btw English is my third language.
1
@ivohage In harassment or defamation intent is actually the absolute. You're comparing apples to oranges here and your take is as bad as it gets.
1
@saberix69 Then she could close TTS earlier? She's using a site that has anonymous donos, what did she expect?
1
Did you watch the same video? The guy literally has a wife and a daughter.
1
What did he say that was harassment? Btw mean comments doesn't equal harassment.
1
@pylotlight What is harassment? She can literally ban him whenever she likes. What he did was trolling. What can be considered harassment is what some restarted individuals did by sending death rates and bot raiding her stream. That's harassment. But if you genuinely think saying something mean= harassment, then I am willing to go through every single one of your posts on all your accounts, and every single one of your private messages to confirm that you've never sent mean things to someone to troll.
1
@tunnelingkiller4677 He never threatened her. And going to google to find a legal definition that varies shows how knowledgeable you are about this stuff. Harassment is something you can be charged with. If the bar was that low, 95% of the people would've been eligible to be charged with harassment including yourself.
1
Revenge porn was 100% illegal. The same way that porn itself was illegal in many countries.
1
Attention and money. She gained some money out of the guy trolling her and now she gained thousands of followers by Asmon covering this.
1
@rey6708 Nope she hasn't. She streamed and put content of herself in a public platform which makes him have every right to use her content under fair use which he did. You are literally under a person that all he does is react to other people's content. Can you give me a single video he reacted that he took verbal or written consent from the creator to react?
1
@rey6708 Really? So when Asmongold reacts to videos and streams is he abiding by fair use? Is he asking those creators if he is allowed to use their content or not? Of course he is not.
1
@samie5602 You think he makes "thousands" from one video? Let's say he made a 5k. She was 1 maybe 2 minutes of the 25 minute video. How much does that translate? Certainly not 50x benefit. But who am I? To judge restarts that have 0 understanding of youtube monetization or math.
1
@samie5602 No my math is 100% mathing. It's not 50x50 because he has clips of multiple people in this video. He didn't just spend 50 bucks on her. In total he spend around 500-1k bucks on various streamers. This idea that this one small clip earned him all the potential 5k he would make from this video is just a ridiculously bad assumption.
1
@zonefreakman me too. I like asmon as well. He's a little on the liberal side but at least he tries to engage with most arguments.
1
@Riokv You should stop using the word HARASS for anything that you dislike. Trolling and saying mean things on the internet isn't "harassment". SenDing death threats is. Making multiple accounts to continue saying mean comments to someone that blocked you is. Doxxing is. Saying mean comments alone is not.
1
@LilPistacho Not you comparing a couple mean troll donos to doxxing s omeone's address.
1
The issue was resolved. The entire mistake wasn't him trolling her, or him using her in his video. The entire issue here was him not blurring her name. All of this would've been prevented if it wasn't for him forgetting to blur her name. But at the end of the day, the issue got fixed. The trollers were banned and now she got a bunch of followers because asmond covered the situation.
