  2.  @dydactic1112 it wasn’t their house. It was the ottoman’s house. Jews purchased portions of the house from the owners. After the second neighborhood war the Jews moved into their portion of the house. A bunch of other people on the block decided to attack the Jews who defeated them. The Jews took territory on the block which can happen if you start a war and lose. They were offered property on the block, despite having many many blocks already in their possession. They turned it down and now they have nothing. Brilliant strategy.
