  12.  @Dahsar-ne1xm because third parties don’t win in the US. Our elections are winner take all. Third parties dilute the vote, pulling votes away from the major parties but not enough to actually win. This winds up allowing the party we REALLY don’t want to win, to win.

The independent “party”, which doesn’t exist, would only pull votes away from the Democratic Party and neither would have enough votes to counter the republicans. The republicans suck but they get behind trump. Democrats disunity kills us every time. See the lest election for example.

Third parties don’t win in our system and simply serve to dilute our votes. Notice what happened last election with some people punishing the democrats by voting third party. Or not voting at all. We need new leadership with some fire in their bellies but destroying the party altogether would be incredibly shortsighted and stupid
