  1. ⁠​⁠ @Bayard1503 Israel knows that no one will take the Palestinians in for more than one reason. They’re not trying to get them to leave. If Israel was as bloodthirsty as people say they are, there wouldn’t be many Palestinians left at all. That would essentially eliminate Hamas as a political and military entity.

  3. The Palestinians haven’t agreed to any two state solutions that have been proposed in the last 75 years. Not ones proposed by the UN, not by Europe , not by the US. Thus far they haven’t been willing to accept a Jewish state. And after October 7, I don’t see the Israelis accepting a Palestinian state until they’re over this attack. So it’s gonna be a while.

  5. The war dragging on probably has more to do with the difficulty of not committing war crimes and genocide in a densely packed urban area undercut by hundreds of miles of tunnels. Not saying netanyahu isn’t using the situation to his advantage.

  7. Very different situation though I understand why you think that. There’s no way you’re going to force Israel to accept a Palestinian state. I suspect Israel would rather nuke the Middle East than tolerate having a Palestinian state forced on them.
