@Blackjack701AD where are you getting that nonsense?

@kaahzvi5820 and Zeihan doesn’t do military planning or training. The military always assumes it will be somehow overmatched. In training exercises with other nations we handicap ourselves so we learn how to adapt. We also develop weapons systems based on what our opponents say they have. Then we find out they don’t have any of that stuff or that they’ve massively overhyped their systems. Look at how Ukraine has done against Russia, which on paper should be a top tier military. Ukraine is using our old and obsolete gear to stand Russia up and decimate the Russian army not to mention the destruction of Russian naval assets and deny their air force air dominance. It turns out china has many of the same issues, that are being made worse by Xi’s policies.

@segalliongaming8925 lol no

@britefeather I was in the military for ten years and we never sang songs for discipline and cohesion. What utter nonsense

@MbisonBalrog so what if we left Afghanistan, were we supposed to stay there forever? We killed bin Laden which was the original mission there and only stayed to try to stabilize the country. Iraq didn’t fail because Iraq remains independent of Islamic militant control. We’re still there helping with anti Isis operations. Come on, this is easily researched 😂

@Withnail1969 not yet but it’s heading there

@u2beuser714 China can import garbage from Russia 😂😂 and the experienced Iraqi army was swept aside by the experienced US army, who not only had better weapons and training but had the best logistics chain in history. Amateurs argue about tactics and battles while the experts make sure their logistics chain is second to none. You can have a billion troops but if you can’t feed or arm them, you’re screwed.
3
@bidmcms3 lol sure if that gets you through the day 😂

@kaahzvi5820 America sustained a multi front war for 20 years. wtf are you talking about 😂
2
@MbisonBalrog the US was in the Middle East and Afghanistan for 20 years and we’re still there. Again I ask, wtf are you talking about 😂
2
@kaahzvi5820 but we didn’t lose Midway. Just like we haven’t militarily lost any war we’ve ever fought in.
2
@u2beuser714 yes experience matters. Logistics matter more. Training and skill matter as much. There’s a reason the US places an emphasis on after action reviews and a massive well developed supply chain.

@kaahzvi5820 one must never be baffled by bullshit

@六爷-r7o because it’s not stressing on that, morons outside the service are stressing about that. Gays and trans can pull triggers, turn wrenches, calculate firing solutions and steer jock sticks. You can unclench your anus.
1
@Emanon... because those missiles you’re worried about have already been included in US military calculations. We’re not worried about pissing off countries that lack competent military leadership and useful military equipment.
1
@kaahzvi5820 they can devise any half assed strategy they want and it won’t change the outcome a bit because the US will adapt to whatever they try. Come on, you have to be able to figure that out

@milkdud589 the Chinese suffered massive casualties and failed in their mission to destroy the 1st Marine Division and X Corps was able to withdraw and survive as an effective tactical unit. The PVA 9th army was so devastated they were combat ineffective until 1951. The UN forces suffered 10,000 casualties while the PVA suffered at least 50,000 and in some estimates up to 60,000. X Corps allowed the 8th army to hold South Korea. The PVA 9th army became a “giant hospital”, according to Yu Bin and it failed to destroy the numerically inferior UN at Chosin as planned. During the battle, Chinese discipline broke down multiple times because the starving and freezing Chinese soldiers focused on looting food and clothing, allowing counterattacks that destroyed multiple Chinese units. The point being is Chinese military inexperience caused them to fail their mission despite taking territory. That’s why South Korea is an independent democracy and not an impoverished dictatorship. Notice also that China was unable to capitalize on this “victory”. There’s no reason to be terrified by the Chinese, especially given their internal problems which will ultimately reduce them as both a military and geopolitical threat.

@kaahzvi5820 sorry, shug, but I’m ex military and don’t play CoD. I’m more of a Fallout and Borderlands fan. But you go on making stupid assumptions 😂
1
@ryans1623 how is training on weapons, one of the military’s primary skill sets, a waste of ammo?
1
@u2beuser714 because china is famous for its transparency 🙄
