@1adamuk it is saying no such thing. It is saying these weapons are designed to work as part of a coordinated system. Tanks need infantry to protect them and they need close air support. Aircraft carriers don’t sail alone, they operate as parts of carrier groups. Bombers have escorts. Please look up combined arms operations.

China is testing their ideas and will be for at least another decade, then they have to build these ships, which takes years, then test them, which takes more years. They’re not going to have carriers that match fifty year old American carriers for at least two decades by which time the Chinese population bomb will have gone off. Their window is closing.

They don’t even have the aircraft to deliver their “hypersonic” glide bombs. And to give you some perspective, an American f15 shot down a satellite moving at Mach 22 (about 17,000 mph) in 1987. We can shoot down anything they say they have.

The recent nonsense you mean? They have to find the big ship first and then manage to calculate a firing solution for a moving target on the sea and then get past its defenses. None of these is a trivial task. Plus our aircraft are deadly, fast and accurate. Way better than china’s even dream about.
