TAIWN HAS a written Constitution in which it accepts that it is part of China They may well have wished for the chance to have a greater degree of devolution like they had in Hong Kong And they continue to want greater independence SCOTLAND WALES AND NORTHERN IRELAND Are part of the United Kingdom But they have a great degree of independence many want total independence CHINA never gave up it's claim to either Hong Kong or Taiwan and this has always been well known to the rest of the world The only reason it has been made a big issue now is the threat of the rise of China as a super power to rival the US China was happy enough to leave things as they were until they seen the west NATO etc trying to make trouble

  14. YES It seems that the USA is not yet satisfied with war I suppose it has to create a market for the vast amount of money that is being spent on so called DEFENSE???? The simple fact is that Taiwan is Part of China and nothing the USA or its NATO allies can do about it They got such a bloody nose from the Taliban Don't think they are fit for China They waited too long because they were making too much money out of it
