Surely they must be aware that Pence is next in line; that he can totally pardon Trump and anyone else; and that McConnell will 86 the impeachment the same way he disappeared Obama's supreme court pick, many other Obama nominees, and the nearly-300 pieces of House-passed legislation that are languishing in the waiting room outside ol' Moscow Mitch's office. What do they have to be afraid of? (besides the president's obvious guilt, that is)
