It won't be hundreds more in the coming days and weeks .. it will be thousands. By the time people show symptoms and test positive, there have been several more generations of transmission with R0 numbers of 3 and above. That part of the east coast is a very crowded place and the coronavirus will spread fast.

@Christy A Ever hear of this cool thing called math? 80% of US population (rounded down to 320 million) will be affected, either as asymptomatic carriers, not affected enough to need hospitalization, or in need of medical care. Of that 80%, approx 15%~20% will require hospitalization, either for oxygen support or fighting secondary infections. Without medical care, many will die. That 15%~20% slice (in numbers) is between 38.4 million and 51.2 million. There are less than 1 million hospital beds in the USA. Does this make things any clearer to you?
