  2. What I've done is download the data to a spreadsheet (it's available on either state or county level, with daily timescale) and put those two on the same graph. Deaths generally trail a month behind cases, when you're trying to see the relation between the two. It's a little muddled in places because the death rate goes higher when local healthcare resources are overwhelmed and someone must make the choice of who to save vs who to send home with aspirin.
