  1. Sorry to hear about your experience. This goes to show what I've been preaching: that even with vaccinating as many people as possible, as well as continuing with masks, distancing, capacity limits, hand washing, etc, we will be lucky to make it through the winter without mass graves everywhere. I live in the best-vaccinated county in my state, and our hospitals just started adding emergency overflow morgues, that's how many deaders we've got. And fall is not even here yet.

  2.  @lockman004  Hope you can make a good recovery - hang in there 💥👍 Fall and winter have not come to us yet, and the effects of school reopenings have barely begun to show. The only way we'll get through the winter without mass graves is for everyone to vaccinate, for everyone to keep wearing masks, for jurisdictions to bring back capacity limits, hand washing, perhaps closing certain kinds of venues. Leaving those things to the honor system during a raging pandemic isn't working out too well.

  3.  @signs9587  Regarding "Have you tried nebulizing" - this is why I am recommending that when unvaccinated people show up with covid at the hospital, just give them three bottles of cough syrup and tell them to go home and call back in a week. The understakers do make house calls, you know.

  4.  @godwins5357  Regarding "What's going happen in winter good grief?" Exactly. We know (from the experience of last year) that when people cluster indoors and the heat comes on, cases will rise. We know (from seeing it happen in school districts everywhere) that case rates will get higher when unvaccinated kids return to school. We know that if Delta isn't bad enough (it is) Mu is coming in right behind it. We know that more and more places are requesting emergency morgues. Anyone who sensibly decides to homeschool your kids, you have my sincere appreciation. Ditto for anyone who gets their whole family vaxxed and keeps up with the masking / distancing / washing / and avoiding crowds like the plague. Get the booster as soon as you're eligible. Those are your best odds of making it through the winter.
