With covid, just like with teen pregnancy, there are fewer reported cases if you do less testing. At least until things start to show. It's a lame way of kicking the can down the road.

@Jay Khan Those are the same ones who like to fall asleep smoking in bed, and get mad at you for pointing out the risk of dying in their own burning houses. You can't fix stupid, but you can attend its funeral.

@uselesscause6128 They can try to paper over what's obvious simply by cranking down the testing efforts. But when the hospitals get overwhelmed and reefer trucks full of bodies are parked on the streets, it's a little harder to hide.

@Rafael96xD He would surely not go to a covid funeral. It's well-known that one of the traits of psychopathy is a lack of remorse, and for sure he feels no remorse over the people who died based on his really bad advice. If he even admitted to it at all, there would be grounds for a class action lawsuit.

@fazdoll Oh dear god. Whoever abused your trust and told you that you had any intelligence? They did you a disservice. Here's the thing: random people can pass covid easily to each other just by breathing near each other. The same cannot be said of pregnancy. Guess which one of the two is spreading faster. Guess which one of those things has testing programs that have been minimized by people like Florida governor DeSatan. Think hard.

@uselesscause6128 Re "I hate to see it get this bad." Same. In spades. I am wearing out keyboards (but not friendships) trying to convince people to get off their misinformation feeds and get with the program, despite their political objections to the vaccine. This is simple science. The more lives we save (even if they are nutballs who suck down the dumbest propaganda that doesn't withstand 10 seconds of fact-checking) the better. Stupid and brainwashed as they are, they're still people.
