Whether Australia's government puts on its adult pants is an unknown. This is potentially a worse problem than WW2 was. And WW2 wasn't one of those things for which your participation was optional, if you know what I mean. Here in the US we've lost more people to covid than to WW2, more than 600,000 people total.

What those people are doing now is every bit as bizarre (and dangerous) as, circa 1942, claiming that the war news was "a hoax" and that only sheeple would participate in the war effort. Since when did people get to opt out of reality on such a grossly negligent scale? Scary.

The net effect of their actions is to increase the amount of suffering and death, the stress on our healthcare, and the time before this emergency is finally put down. It is as if, during the London Blitz, they are running around saying it's their "freedumb" to keep all their lights on at night, while Nazi pilots use the light to guide them to drop bombs on their city. If you have to ask, "How dumb could these idiots possibly be?", then the obvious answer is many times dumber than we know.
