Here in the USA, we are so obsessed with the minutiae of "free speech" that we allow complete fakery to be called "news" - even when it tells people that the virus is a hoax, that it's no worse than a cold, that everyone except the president and Q-Anonsense are lying to the people, that cases are dropping rapidly, that you have nothing to worry about, etc. I hope not all other countries do similar things. It's destroyed the ability for the US to have any kind of coherent messaging :(
