It's about frigging time. What other snake-oil "cures" are being offered for covid? Do each of them have to be separately whacked down like this?

@johncarlaw8633 Sad. Sorry to hear. We have the same problems in the US. And of course, our covid spread is worse here because we've got provincial governors doing the most they can to spread the disease far and wide, like that nonsense you see out of Florida and Texas.

Its genome was provided to the public back on January 10, 2020. That's when the clock started for developing vaccines. You might want to try reading the news regularly and fix those gaping holes in your memory.

@TheAlyconaria There are some people (admittedly whackjobs, people whose brains are wired wrong) who see conspiracy in EVERYTHING. As if they've reduced the complexity of the real world down to the simplicity of the social interactions in the one small sandlot where they spent time with the other neighborhood kids before they were 10.

@theopelgrave5842 It would be nice if the anti-vac pro-ivermectin people could get clear about the subject of FDA approval. In some instances they wave it about as proof of whatever, then in other instances they claim it's proof of some giant big-pharma conspiracy. But then, thinking straight is not their strong suit.

@harbselectronicslab3551 Correct. Getting vaccinated, staying masked, keeping hands clean, following the guidance etc are the only way out of this mess. Those things slow the spread to where hospitals can manage it, and give us time to get the population sufficiently vaccinated. That is the only way out of this now that Delta has changed the picture.

Those damn vaccines are ineffective at giving you superpowers. I'm very disappointed. Still can't levitate cars (magnetism would have been cool) and my 5G signal hasn't improved a bit. Sooooo disappointed :(

You're missing the forest for the trees if you think the jab is the end goal. Saving the most lives is the end goal. Your "perfect" (LOLz) statement is a bit like some Yank claiming mid-1942 that "putting every human into uniform is the entire goal".

"the US" is not a pharmacist or a doctor. Here in the US you can just buy livestock medicine over the counter, or you can find an individual whackjob doctor who might write a script (and hopefully lose his/her license afterwards).
