Same problem here in the US, except some of the protesters bring military-style long guns to their gatherings - where of course few people wear masks or practice distancing. The US state of Minnesota has just opened industrial and office work settings .. but virus cases in Minnesota are rising exponentially, and 7 of the past 9 days have seen consecutive records for the most new cases per day. Offices in particular will be virus incubators. I tire of reminding people that you can recover from being broke, but you can't recover from being dead from the virus. I'm on 48 days without any kind of income, and relying on friends to help me stay afloat.

NPR radio had an article about the beaches opening in Alabama, and how the parking lots are crowded with out-of-state tags, some from faraway hotspots like Michigan or New York or New Jersey. Oy :(

@nicholaslake5937 What's with assuming 100% chance of life being ruined by lockdown? You can recover from being broke, from losing your home cars business job etc. (not that anyone is losing their home or cars) But you can't recover from losing your life due to the virus.

@mikep4869 I'm afraid you misunderstood me. I'm probably going to take my car off the road and just use a bicycle .. already worked with the lender to put everything on hold until I can get income. Many people in the US can work from home and my friends are some of them. Did the same thing with other creditors. We will get through this. As I repeat, you can recover from being broke but you can't recover from being dead by the virus.

Q Continuum What's even worse is that there's such a long lag time between a large social event and the peak in cases caused by the event. In the case of Mardi Gras (New Orleans, Louisiana) it was 40 days between peak attendance and peak new virus cases. At the worst they were seeing more than 2000 new cases per day. The early cases will be the ones who attended the event themselves, the later cases will be their families, neighbors, coworkers, and everyone else they came in contact with.

Don't expect Dr Campbell to address things that aren't based in any factual reality. You may as well ask why he hasn't revealed the link between Bigfoot and coronavirus.
