There is quite a lot of that. Not only did Russia violate the Minsk 2 agreement, but it violated a number of other agreements when it attacked Ukraine. There's the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, in which Russia agreed to not to use economic or military force against Ukraine, in exchange for the return of the Soviet nuclear arsenal remaining there. There's the NATO-Russia Founding Act of 1997, in which Russia agreed that the now-independent nations of the former USSR were free to choose their own path, east, west, whatever. Russia also violated the Minsk Agreement of 1991, in which it agreed to respect the territorial sovereignty of Ukraine.

I've been laughing over how the Russians imagine anything of theirs would be a "show of force" when it happens in the backyard of the US 4th fleet. Russia already has trouble defending its ships against a much smaller country that has no navy. How do they think this is going to work out for them?

Right in the backyard of the US 4th fleet, too. Perhaps the Russians ought to summon the ghost of admiral Yamamoto to get his thoughts on what kind of an adversary the US Navy is.

No doubt we have been gathering its passive acoustic signature (at a whole range of speeds and depths) from every angle. Sort of like when those folks lofted a balloon to spy on us, and instead we scoped out a great deal of information as to their capabilities and methods and the state of their technology.
