My thoughts too. Even at the hotter parts of the Cold War, they weren't probing our defenses so much in such a short time. Ivan invades airspace often enough, but this appears to be something new. Let's hope there isn't any reconstituted Axis alliance (Russia, China, NK, Iran) doing this.

Ukraine will make a fine addition to NATO someday. They are proving themselves to be tough fighters. Maybe in exchange for giving them lots of stuff, they'll let us set up an air base in western Ukraine.

Being able to recover that balloon (shot down just past the east coast) will be a counterintelligence bonanza. The fact that China is so hopping mad about it tells you that we did the thing they feared most - we disabled it before they could slag the electronics by remote.

Pretty sure it couldn't have been aliens, because if they were able to get all the way here, something like our F-22 (which is great by Earth standards) is probably like an antiquated toy to them.

@josephdahdouh2725 Bingo. Funny how no one has any pieces of supposedly alien craft as proof.

How many people would have to be in on this conspiracy for it to work, without leaks?

Well, if aliens showed up in force, you wouldn't see folks bitching about inflation.

Wait, wait, I have an even better wrinkle: they somehow log into the alien ship using an Apple product, which somehow mysteriously uses the same TCP/IP that us earthlings invented back in the 1960s.

@VeronicaGorositoMusic Wonder what Karl Marx would have thought about iPhones being manufactured in China, with Foxconn execs driving their own Teslas.

@mp40submachinegun81 They constantly probe the US pacific northwest. They never stopped doing that. But lofting incoming gear over the north pole is a new thing.
