  1. I hope everyone in the West can keep in mind what the OP said. Should the good people of Russia throw off Putin, retreat from Ukraine, make reparations, etc, then those sanctions go away the next day and we welcome the people of Russia back to the civilized world. With a stable democracy, they could be one of the great nations of the world. Instead Putin is taking them down a hole.

  2. What Putler is doing to Russia is absolutely horrible. Russia had still not recovered from the demographic damages done in WW2. Sending off 2-3 generations of men to die in Ukraine is not going to help. The West will continue to provide ever more sophisticated (and deadly) weapons to Ukraine the longer this continues.
