Probably Moscow Mitch will go back to holding gruelling confirmation hearings, after 4 years of just letting Trump do "acting" appointments in order to skip confirmation hearings. As during Obama's time (then 83 nominees were blocked, as opposed to an average of maybe 1-2 per president hitherto) the blocking of nominees may go up by 4000% relative to the historical norm. Probably Moscow Mitch will dust off his Obama-era language and, if a Supreme Court vacancy should open partway through Biden's time in office, Mitch will tell him that 32 months before an election is much, much too soon to seat a SCOTUS judge. Some Republicans are just plain nuts, some are trying to carry out a coup, and some are both.
