I wonder where the Insurrection Act type response was back when white folks armed with military-style long guns invaded state capitols and threatened lawmakers? Back then, the conservatives (fed up with public health measures) were all screeching that government needs to be of the people, by the people, and for the people. Watching them whipsaw to "we gotta put down the people" tells you all about their faux patriotism that you need to know.
