Hitler had no need whatsoever for an independent bureaucracy that would follow set rules .. or an independent judiciary that would follow set rules .. or a police force that would follow set rules .. or a military that would follow set rules, so he worked to put those things under his personal control. Trump seems cut from the same cloth.
