They saw well what happened when Trump offered to buy Greenland, then pretended it was just a joke, then cancelled a planned visit with the PM of Denmark, then made flimsy excuses for it, then only weeks later admitted that the meeting was cancelled because the Greenland buy offer had been rejected.
