  1. C6SuperchargedZR1 The Leon isn't boring at all my friend. It's great fun to drive. Maybe the DSG is less fun but that's because of the gearbox.

  2. C6SuperchargedZR1 Well, it's a turbocharged straight 4. The only way to make those engines sound good is by fiddling with the exhaust and that's a little artificial. Personally I'm not looking for an interesting noise in such cars because I know I can't find it. The looks are subjective. I think it looks great particularly in dark grey but I like it when hot hatches are understated. I'm 31 years old and last thing I want is to drive a car that looks like a racing car. But that's not really relevant. We're talking about driving here and based on every single review the Leon is a fun car to drive. It's not a Megane RS but it's close while being newer, quicker, offering better equipment and all that for not a lot of money. Overall I think it's the best FWD hot hatch at the moment. Probably the next Megane RS will be better but you never know. They may murder it like they did with the Clio.

  3. amapolishplummer You can get the ACC without the DSG. Stick it to 6th on the motorway and you're good to go. I agree with camelsac. DSG takes away some of the involvement and it's a very involving car. Also, DSG + ACC may add 50kgs which is not insignificant.

  4. MS Absolutely agree. In fact, every new Civic looks worse than the previous one. I don't know how they manage to do that. I think the CR-Z looks great but before that, their last looker was the S2000.

  5. camelsac Oh I see. Funnily enough, the full bucket seats are also heated hahaha. Got mine in dark grey. I really can't wait.

  6. amapolishplummer Yeah if you like the wheels Sub8 is a must-have especially because of the Brembos. I love the standard wheels so I didn't get it but I may end up getting the brakes at some point. Full Link is also a nice option if you're into that stuff. I am and I want it but it'll have to be a last minute addition if my dealership gets its shit together and receive the updated options list before my car gets built.

  7. camelsac Yeah I know. I'll get an aftermarket kit. Having said that, I know the Brembos are basically only for endurance as the standard brakes are very strong but you know, it's a car that looks good with Brembos. If I do it it'll be when I need to change front pads but to be honest I may end up not doing it at all in the end. It's not something the car needs. amapolishplummer I just found out Full Link needs satnav. I don't think it's a configurator glitch. That's not happening then.

  8. camelsac Definitely but I don't want the Brembos in order to have better brakes. I want them because I want to have Brembo brakes in my car hahaha. Just for the sake of having them. I know, it's stupid.

  9. Guys, we've been having a nice conversation. Let's not fuck it up. The Megane is a better driver's car but in every other way it's worse than the Leon. If someone wants a hot hatch only for driving pleasure you can't blame them for getting the Megane.

  11. C6SuperchargedZR1 You should have heard my stock 1.2 Opel Corsa without the centre silencer and with an aftermaket final silencer. It sounded like a rally car :D Even the most boring engine can sound good with a bit of tuning. I like it more when they naturally sound good. Right now I have an Astra 1.8 which is completely stock and sounds nice when you rev it. It has that natural, relatively high displacement, rich N/A noise. I'm waiting for my Leon to come in a few months and although I'm very excited I know I'll miss that noise. Your Megane RS is definitely one of the all time greats. If it was new it'd be the one I'd choose. I won't mind if the next RS is softer and more rounded if it keeps some of your car's character. I will mind a lot of they stick a paddle-shifter in it.

  12. camelsac I have already ordered it :D I should have it at the end of August or start of September. Yeah it has amazing standard equipment. I also wanted to get the headlight washers but unfortunately they aren't even offered as an option in Greece. I know it's nothing big but I wanted to have it. I only added front and rear parking sensors and the full bucket seats. I must correct you though. It doesn't have magnetic dampers. They are electronically adjustable but not magnetic. What colour did you get it?
