  2. vickmackey24 I'm afraid you're looking at the wrong things or even worse, you're not seeing anything. I don't know him personally so I'm judging by what's out there. Just an example. Look at what he did at the beginning of the 1st episode of embedded. It was amazing. Look at the things he says in interviews and the way he speaks. In serious interviews. You don't find him funny and that's fine (I even agree to an extend) but saying someone isn't funny is very different than saying he isn't a great guy or an inspiration. Anderson embodies the spirit of a true martial artist. The way of thinking, the respect etc. He has that aura of a very special athlete and man. Very few of them have that. That's why I said he's a real champion. You don't need to have the belt to be that.

  3. vickmackey24 I see what you mean and again, I agree to a certain extend but not entirely. You see, like all of us, Anderson keeps growing. He has made mistakes and I think he knows that. But it's not black and white. First of all, all top sportsmen need to have incredible self confidence. Otherwise they won't succeed. Sometimes that passes off like arrogance but I must admit I never thought of Anderson as being arrogant. Just very confident. Regarding his behaviour in the octagon, it is strategy and only strategy. If we take his first fight with Weidman as an example, he was very respectful before that. We see it with Diaz as well. Anderson mocks his opponents in order to break them mentally and it has worked almost every single time. If it does why change it? It didn't work with Weidman obviously so maybe tonight we see something different. I don't agree there's nothing special with Anderson as a man. Not everyone can reach an extremely high level at what they do, stick to it for years and deal with being a superstar successfully. It's extremely difficult and you need to be special to achieve that. I've been watching UFC for about 5,5 years.

  5. Connor Bruce Conor is a character! He talks a lot of shit but we all know why he does it. And he's incredibly funny. I don't think he's a bad guy or a dick or anything like that. He shows that character when he's around a camera or a microphone because he understands how the fight game is played.
