  1. No lie, I met my best friend on CL, in the personal ads for friends! She wrote the ad, I responded. The weird thing is neither of us were ever compelled before (or after) that to use CL for any purpose. I don’t even remember what made me see if they had platonic options. But we’ve been best friends for almost ten years now and her and her husband are family to me.
