  5. I understand, but isn't that the whole purpose of marriage to have simple rules in society about people having sex? If there is a marriage before sex the whole family is involved in the relationship and the relationship is taken far more seriously. It's because we have devalued marriage that we have no easy to understand universal rules... And that's why this guy thinks he can act this way even if she did 'love him'.

  7. That's right, sex is fun and it can make a person very happy, but sex can also make a person very unhappy. I'm not saying people should only have sex with their marriage partner because I want people to be unhappy - I say it because I want people to have the best happy sex and happy lives. You seem to be advocating broken relationships, casual sex without love or commitment, exploitative sex, prostitution, pornography... Do you think true happiness comes from your type of sex?

I think it's your thinking that's wack! Marriage is the regulation of sex between a man and a woman - that's what it is. It's because we've deregulated sex that people feel they can do this sort of thing.

  11. I think if women only had sex with their husbands then things like this would not happen. It wasn't very long ago that sex outside of marriage was not accepted the way it is today and husbands did not sell pornographic images of their wives.

I only put some ideas to you about human behaviour; the very behaviour that is the very reason we even exist, feel strong emotion and connection to sexual partners and make family. I just happen to think that behaviour is worthy of some thoughtful discussion to help people understand and cope with such consequential acts. Maybe even 'rules' would be conducive in protecting people's lives that might need society to look out for them. It's just a discussion that initially you was engaged in.

  15. Lot of points there. Do you think it's acceptable for people to have group sex at school parents meeting? I assume not and I could list dozens of sexual behaviours that you would find unacceptable, so you agree with rules for sex just not clear ones. You champion what a person wants, but sex always involves more than one person, so one person can never be sure ther wants/actions will not affect another. So the 'choice' thing cannot work. You have just inferred that being a whore is a bad thing - I agree, but I actually said women that allow themselves to be used for sex by men have less self respect than women who charge for it.

I mean you wrote the following in advice to a young person: "Sex is such a sensitive subject for people, because it brings in so many beliefs about marriage, God and so on. In the end nobody gets anywhere other than arguing. What reason is there to continue the conversation?" What you actually say there, is because this stuff matters greatly to many people, you see no reason to discuss it; no reason to even consider whether behaving differently might be better for everyone, because you have no wish to alter your views or behaviour.

Well, a coach having sex with a 15 year old student was 'not right according to our laws' back then - so, perhaps it was a teenage crush that he got involved in, but either because of her or him, sex did not occur.
