How is Russia's war against Ukraine 'a real global threat' when the people in the disputed regions have voted to be with Russia?

Police work on suspicion and a person police think might have committed a crime is presumed innocent until a court of law convicts them of a crime.

You have to give Steve credit for devoting his entire life to being a public nuisance.

Ireland can expect more, because someone who works with these people in Bristol has just told me they are all getting notice of deportation and are packing their stuff for Ireland and they believe no passport is required to travel via ferry to Belfast.

She'a a despicable liar, because she said this: "Ireland can always count on the EU to stand by the GFA - there can be no hard border on the Island of Ireland" .So, where are the lies? Firstly, she talks of 'Ireland' as being one country when there are two countries on the island of Ireland. Secondly, she directly implies the GFA prevents a 'hard border' when the GFA doesn't mention anything about 'borders' 'trade' 'customs' 'passports' 'visas' 'immigration' 'border checkpoints' - so how can the GFA prevent a normal border between two countries when the GFA doesn't mention the border, but agrees Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland are separate countries?

What has Zelensky achieved for the people of Ukraine?

@icemanzw traitor to what?

@notmyname3681 You really need to do some research into what really happened.

He can't even sparkle when he's covered in glitter

People should wake up in Ireland and the UK - politicians are not working for the people.
2
Russia protected Russian speaking people who wanted to be with Russia. The West has made everything a thousand times worse.
2
This guy has lived the highlife put millions in his own bank account all on the deaths of a hundred thousand sons. brothers, dads...
2
And what if the armourer had intended to murder Hutchins - how could Baldwin know this was not the case?
2
You think preventing WW3 is 'unfortunate'?
2
@zachaustin-humphries7029 You laugh in my face - you must be right...
2
The British people rejected the political establishment in 2016, but the same people stayed in power. Brexit has been like winning a referendum in Afghanistan to allow pop music and expecting the Taliban to organise some good discos. We have allowed the wrong people to control us.

It will all get sorted, but for now a little extra pay for lorry drivers.

@cameronhodgetts920 Don't be silly. The people living there voted to be with Russia. There was civil war which is why Russia moved in.
1
@cameronhodgetts920 No the BBC did. This is what the BBC reported from Eastern Ukraine following a referendum in 2014: "While these ethnic Russians have been celebrating the declaration of independence here, they must also be aware of their absolute dependence now on Moscow. So, now two absolutely critical questions, how will the government in Kiev react to this declaration of independence and secondly what will Moscow do, will it agree to anexe this part of Eastern Ukraine?"
1
@derektighe5131 You're going back to when NATO invaded Iraq - since when did NATO not enjoy invading other countries?
1
@Asgard2208 If any of what you say actually happened we would have heard about it on the news - there's obviously zero proof of any 'Minsk Agreements' or this war you say started in 2014. The news in the west would have told us about it. What are you going to claim next - Ukraine government banned the Russian language in schools and on TV? We all know you are a Russian Bot, because we are well informed by our news stations.
1
These murderers would not be in our country if not for people like Starmer.
1
@Jonny-uu7wf So, tell us what you know that's better?
1
@Jonny-uu7wf What about what's been happening is achieving peace?
1
@notmyname3681 Wondering how Ukraine started the war? There was civil war in Eastern Ukraine from 2014 - 2022 when ethnic Russians voted to leave Ukraine and join Russia. Why did this happen? In 2013 the EU approached Ukraine with treaty to associate/trade with EU. This was rejected because Ukraine government wanted to maintain links with Russia. This divided Ukraine people and civil war kicked off between those wanting to join EU and ethnic Russian speaking people wanting to stay with Russia. In 2014 the pro-Russian Ukraine government was overthrown and replaced with pro-EU government. Russia invaded Crimea and held referendum and the people chose Russia over Ukraine. The new Ukraine government banned Russian language in education, employment and on TV. The civil war continued in East Ukraine. In 2022 Russia invaded East Ukraine as a peacekeeping force protecting ethnic Russians stopping the civil war. Russia held referendums and the people of East Ukraine chose to be with Russia. The Ukraine government had a choice whether to respect the democratic wish of the people living in the disputed territory or start an unwinnable war against Russia. Ukraine chose to start the war.
1
@notmyname3681 The only falsehood is you claiming falsehood - go do some research and comeback when you actually know something.
1
@notmyname3681 The only relevant point is - what were the options for Ukraine? Recognise the right of ethnic Russian territory to join Russia or fight an unwinnable war causing much death and destruction and lose the ethnic Russian territory to Russia. Ukraine chose the later - it could hardly be more straightforward.
1
@notmyname3681 I haven't agreed with what you said - I said it's not relevant. My point was Ukraine (Biden/U/UK) had a choice and chose war instead of peaceful settlement. Ukraine (Biden/EU/UK) opted to fire missiles at a peacekeeping force and kicked off a war and this is an indisputable fact. I would argue the war was unwinnable which is why NATO was afraid to enter the combat zone. It was always about regime change in Russia. Big fail all round - hey?

People were angry at the Tories over a cost of living crisis caused by covid and war and the Tories were taken down by Reform. Thanks to an absurdly inapt voting system we have ended up with a dictatorship based on a vote by 14% of the population. The redgret has set in.
1
Remainers do like pointing out that Brexit is like the UK not politically joined to the EU, as though Leave voters should somehow be bothered.
1
@Diarmaid O'Riordan None of us knows what the future will bring. My guess is the UK will gradually separate further from the EU. There are some crazy anti-EU MPs in the Tory Party and I don't see them being perturbed about the future.
1
@Diarmaid O'Riordan That could happen, but in 2014 Scottish independence voters envisaged a UK in the EU converting to the euro. It's a very different picture now and voters would have much more to think about. I think it's more probable that the UK will start to overcome these old squabbles. There is CANZUK in the offing and Scots and Irish might feel more drawn to that alliance than the EU.
1
@Diarmaid O'Riordan How much for next week's lotto numbers?
1
@allanmason3201 Things are not falling apart and actually all the Remain based predictions have been wrong. So, far the best you have is some rejected shellfish and a few confiscated sandwiches. Hardly, 'The Blitz' and we survived that.
1
@pakpala1 Do you mean the nazi party that sowed the seeds of the EU, and the racism that provides free movement to EU countries only to those from white countries, and the sexism that has prevented the Labour Party having a leader when the Tory Party has produced two women prime ministers?
1
You can get any type of gun made or adapted. Real guns and ammo are used on sets to shoot holes in barn doors etc. Also, imitation bullets are used to look authentic in loading scenes and close-ups of the end of a cylinder. The argument 'real guns/bullets should not be on the set' is the excuse being used by the killer, but it did not prevent the death. In theory, it would always be possible for a person intent on murder to substitute a real weapon/bullet. For this reason, the responsibility must lie with the person holding the gun. Baldwin should have emptied the cylinder and satisfied himself the rounds were not dangerous before loading and pointing the gun at a person.

Joe looks ready for the presidential campaign...

The palace has evidence on them - the royal residences are packed with valuables - so are covered by hidden cameras.
1
The answer is to vote out those responsible.
1
If the speaker said he made a mistake - why not allow MPs to vote on the SNP motion?
1
If the likes of you got their way, but fortunately nobody listens to the crazy gang.
1
How is it 'far right' to oppose excessive immigration? Brits cannot go live in in the EU - is the EU 'far right'?
1
@kn07-c6z Because he picked up a gun and killed an innocent person.
1
@kn07-c6z And what if the armourer had intended to murder Hutchins - how did Baldwin know this was not the case?
1
@kn07-c6z It's his job to use guns in his profession, just like a police officer or a soldier, or a farm worker. The same gun use rules that apply to workers in these professions don't somehow disapply to actors.
1
@kn07-c6z Yes, his job is an actor and sometimes his work as an actor required him to use guns, so just like in any other job with guns, the gun user is responsible for the damage caused by the gun they are holding.
1
@kn07-c6z The guilty verdict on the armourer is correct because it was her job to ensure a real bullet was not in the gun. However, had AB checked the gun this tragedy would not have occurred. The AB case will rest on: 'Was is it right that AB trusted another person the gun was safe?' Well, this verdict has shown 'another person' can be negligent, so the answer must be: 'No he could not and should not have trusted another person.'
1
@kn07-c6z I think the gun was tested and found to be in working order meaning it could not fire a round unless the trigger was pulled.
1
Zelensky is over because he is a total failure. Those that assisted him are propping him up because he is all that is holding them up.
1
@cameronhodgetts920 It was a peacekeeping force to end a civil war started by the west trying to get Ukraine away from Russia - do some research. there were 7 million ethnic Russians in Ukraine that wanted to be with Russia.
1
And the main reason people voted for Remain was to be pro-immigration - so they have got what they wanted?
1
Labour has been given an easy ride (propaganda) by the Brexit hating MSM, but the general election campaign will bring voters to their senses...
1
@grassytramtracks Are you implying you will start hiding bombs in public places and blowing up women and children again? Are we supposed to be frighted of you?
1
@sbor2020 You're talking complete nonsense The major UK parties and all UK governments had supported UK membership of the EEC/EU since the 1970s. During the 2016 referendum The Conservatives, Labour, Lib Dems, SNP, Plaid Cymru and the UK government all supported Remain. The 'Brexit Deal' was negotiated by lifelong pro-EU political activists. Today probably 85% of MPs are pro-EU political activist and yet the 2024 'National Rejoin March' was attended by 500 people - we have the 'wrong people ' in power.
1
@sbor2020 So what's stopping rejoiners having a referendum?
1
@sbor2020 They were not corrections they were lies - show me photo evidence tens of thousands attended the 2024 National Rejoin March - you cannot - but I can show you photo evidence no more than 500 people attended. Nobody in the UK really wanted to be part of the federal Europe project or someone would have objected to the UK government statement the UK would never join the euro.
