In legal justice, saving one or two Jewish people for personal reasons probably makes an accused more culpable of their wrongful actions against other Jewish people. They are not on trial for saving anyone and cannot use the 'indoctrinated' defence. I doubt her testimony was the reason he was found not guilty. The court probably found there was no evidence he was actively involved in murder.
